Txikijazz brings to a close an edition to remember, establishing itself as a meeting place where quality music and family audiences come together in a natural and exciting way.

Jazzaldia has established itself as one of Europe’s leading jazz festivals thanks to its ability to bring together major stars, emerging talents, local bands, and a wide range of free performances. A total of 77 concerts were held across 12 stages, drawing a total attendance of 179,483 people.

Diana Krall headlines the closing night of Jazzaldia at the Kursaal, whilst Truffaz and Lizana pay tribute to Miles Davis and Vincent Peirani gives two concerts today.

An emotional evening at La Trini, paying tribute to Miguel Martin and the eagerly awaited Charles Tolliver and Marcus Miller, with tickets having sold out months ago.

Today sees the first of the tributes to John Coltrane, performed by Azar Lawrence. Another of the day’s highlights will be the concert by Cecile McLorin Salvant.

David Murray and Joe Lovano will receive the Donostiako Jazzaldia Award tonight at Trini square, whilst Samara Joy will take to the stage at the Kursaal.

LP and ETS will get the audience dancing at Keler Gunea on the opening day of Jazzaldia, which will also feature Julius Rodriguez and Carmen Lundy.

Txikijazz will take place from 22 to 26 July as part of the Jazzaldia festival. It will feature four free, family-friendly concerts on the terraces of the Kursaal.

XII JazzEñe will run at the 61st Jazzaldia with eight concerts representing an overview of national Jazz, from 22-25 July, at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre
