Formed in Yécora (Rioja Alavesa) in 2005, ETS (‘En Tol Sarmiento’) is one of the most popular and influential bands singing in the Basque language today, both inside and outside the Basque Country. With a career spanning more than two decades, it began as a group of friends brought together by a passion for playing music. They went from entertaining at local festivals and celebrations to filling venues with thousands who flocked to their powerful live performances.
ETS's sound is based on ska-rock and festive rhythms, with lyrics in Basque and Spanish. Over the years, they have integrated elements of pop and reggae, and even urban influences have been blended into their recent songs. With all of this, they have been able to connect with all types of audiences without losing their identity.

The ETS phenomenon transcends the strictly musical sphere. In March 2025, they celebrated their 20th anniversary with three concerts at the Bizkaia Arena (BEC). With over 45,000 tickets sold for the occasion, it became the biggest event in the history of music in the Basque language. The show “20 urte zure eskutik” was broadcast on ETB2 to record audiences: over 336,000 viewers. Further consolidating the cultural impact of the group.

Over the years, the band has released several studio albums. Vendimia Seleccionada (2008), Hacia la Luna (2012), Zure Mundua (2014), Beldurrik ez (2015), Ametsetan (2017), Aukera Berriak (2019), Guretzat (2022). The most recent, Konkista (2025), has been described by the group itself as their most personal and experimental project, with eleven songs that speak to very deep emotions.

ETS is preparing a comeback tour in 2026 with Konkista. They will play in large venues such as the Movistar Arena (Madrid), the Palau Sant Jordi (Barcelona) and, of course, the Keler Gunea, during the 61st San Sebastian Jazz Festival. They are at a stage now that represents synthesis between the festive, the emotional and the introspective; as committed as ever to connecting with hearts, and clinging firmly to their cultural and linguistic roots.
