An evening to celebrate Coltrane and honour Miguel Martin
An emotional evening at La Trini, paying tribute to Miguel Martin and the eagerly awaited Charles Tolliver and Marcus Miller, with tickets having sold out months ago.
Today’s programme begins, as usual, in the cloister of Skoda San Telmo with Benjamin Moussay. At the FCC Victoria Eugenia, there’s a morning JazzEñe session with Víctor Antón and Daniel Juarez.
Pat Metheny returns to the Kutxabank Kursaal with his Side Eye III quintet, set to fill the stage with his melodic warmth.
At Chillida Leku, the first of two concerts in this year’s programme by the duo Enric Peidro and Federico Mazzanti.
And at Trini, a spectacular evening featuring a much-anticipated double bill: Charles Tolliver with his tribute to John Coltrane, and Marcus Miller with his tribute to Miles Davis.
The final night on the main stage, Keler Gunea, featured the Basque band Nøgen, as part of their 10th-anniversary tour, and HOFE, the stage name behind the musical project led by singer Igotz Méndez.
