The Keler Gunea stage, on Zurriola beach, will once again be Jazzaldia’s most popular and diversified space.

The Keler Gunea stage, on Zurriola beach, will once again be Jazzaldia’s most popular and diversified space. From July 23 to 26, eight free concerts will be held there, and audiences will be able to hear Jazz, rock, soul, country, blues, pop and R&B, from Basque, British, American, Catalan and French groups and artists.

We will begin at sundown on Wednesday July 23, with Jamie Callum; this will be his second concert at this 60th edition of the Jazz Festival and there will be no better opportunity to see the British musician free, with all his contagious joy and overwhelming charm and energy. Then, at the same venue, for the first time in San Sebastian, The War & Treaty, the Trotter husband and wife duo who will no doubt show why they are having such great success in the USA, with their powerful voices and singular fusion of gospel and country.

On Thursday July 24, Anari will be the first artist on the programme that evening at Keler Gunea; this artist, singer, guitarist and composer, is recognised for her unique musical style and poignant lyrics, full of poetic depth and raw emotion. The second concert on that Thursday will be by EXTC, led by legendary drummer Terry Chambers, who is back on the road with his band, EXTC, heirs to the mythical XTC.

On July 25, a Friday, two young women, clearly on the way to becoming great world stars, shall take the stage. First up, American singer, composer and instrumentalist Judith Hill, recognised for her powerful voice, her guitar and her versatility, encompassing many genres: soul, R&B, funk, Jazz and rock, with gospel and blues influences. After her, at 11.30pm, it will be the turn of the very young Parisian singer, Crystal Murray, who possesses an exceptional voice, and who has triumphed at festivals such as Sonar de Barcelona and Rock en Seine, in Paris.

To end the concerts at Keler Gunea, on July 26, there will be performances by Bulego, and then Sidonie. Bulego have carved out a name for themselves as a successful group, reaffirming their bet for pop and winning larger and larger audiences with their new and refreshing musical proposal, with more than a touch of nostalgia, so full of energy and no shortage of catchy melodies. Sidonie, one of the most successful bands in Spain over the last two decades, never lets audiences down, with their powerful live shows and contagious energy. Their songs, many of them generational hymns for thousands of people, are luminous and melancholic, funny and dramatic, `very rock’ and ‘very pop’, euphoric and introspective, naughty and serious…

KELER, our main sponsor, are happy to have their name attached to this venue, hence the KELER GUNEA stage, which can be found, like in other years, alongside the breakwater on Zurriola Beach.
