Kumbia vs. Salsa Selektoras: Muchacha Der Diablo & Maisa Covaleda
This event presents the opportunity for a musical, cultural and emotional dialogue between two of the most influential musical traditions of Latin America: cumbia and salsa. Through live sessions and a carefully curated programme, it makes for an all-encompassing experience in which music is not just listened to: it is danced to, shared, lived.
An initiative that invites us to celebrate rhythm as a space for encounter, memory and collective connection.
Muchacha Der Diablo
Behind this name lies Amets San Millan, a Basque-Dominican vinyl selector. In her sessions, she brings the Caribbean home to us on a rich and joyful journey filled with salsa, boogaloo, guaguanco, cumbia and everything that makes you want to move your hips.
Maisa Covaleda
Originally from Colombia, Maisa Covaleda has lived in Pamplona for years and is a music selector, curator and cultural researcher. Her work connects music, territory and memory, with a special emphasis on collective and affective practices.
Isb Lester & Igu Allnighter
Isb Lester
Born in Madrid, she has, for years, lived between the UK and the US. Her passion for African-American sounds borders on fanaticism. Mod Jazz, soul, rhythm & blues and boogaloo take centre stage in her selections, always driven by rhythm and informed by elegance, with the weight of her deep musical culture behind everything she does.
Co-founder of the all-female DJ collective Here Come The Girls in Madrid and co-organiser of Midnight Boogie Weekend in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Throughout her career, she has spun at numerous clubs, events and festivals in Spain, France and United Kingdom, bringing to every gig vibrant, sophisticated fare - stuff you can’t help but want to dance to.
Igu Allnighter
Although best known as a singer and harmonica player with The Allnighters, as a DJ he has been thrilling audiences for decades with vibrant sets that feature the finest soul, rhythm & blues, funk and Jazz released from the 1950s to now. Always played on vinyl and delivered with passion. His sets have been heard in dozens of clubs and festivals from Jerez to Southampton.
Black Jazz Brothers
This project brings together Madrid’s Sergio Vélez and San Sebastián’s Álvaro Granda (Divorce From New York), two selectors who view the DJ booth more as an exercise in curatorship than as a spectacle. With deep roots in Jazz and its contemporary offshoots, their sound flows seamlessly between Nu-Jazz, afrobeat, disco, house and soul. Their philosophy is clear: let the music speak for itself. Each session is a carefully crafted experience where genres converse and the groove becomes the true thread running through it all. For Black Jazz Brothers, playing music isn’t about performing. It’s about sharing!
