Mississippi Queen & The Wet Dogs is funk, rock and soul band formed in 2015. Their repertoire is broad and versatile and their live gigs always combine original compositions with their versions of works by soul, funk, blues and gospel artists.

Their debut album, Try Me, was released in January 2019, and was the starting point towards making a name for themselves nationally. Since then, they have performed at venues such as BBK Music Legends Festival, La Grapa Black Music Festival and the blues festivals in Bilbao, Cerdanyola, Sanbar, Reus or Burlada.

Their second album, Phoenix, released on 15 November 2024, is an eight-track LP of original compositions with which the band continued to explore and develop their musical identity. That album was chosen by the editors of Ruta 66 magazine as one of the 15 best Spanish albums of 2024. In March 2026, they released a new single: a version of Amy Winehouse’s Rehab, to mark the 20th anniversary of her album Back to Black (2026).

Mississippi Queen & The Wet Dogs’s live shows, with their intense, elegant and groove-filled sound, are always an invitation to dance, sing and just be carried along by a soul sound that is versatile, vibrant and deeply moving.
