Trinidad Jiménez

Trinidad Jiménez (lute, bass flute), David Sancho (piano, Fender Rhodes, synthesizers), Borja Barrueta del Río (drums)

One of the new generation accustomed to inhabiting the space where flamenco and Jazz merge, Trinidad Jiménez is known for her improvised music in the Madrid scene. Recent years have seen her introduce the bass flute to a variety of dance, flamenco and contemporary music projects, particularly during her time with Quartetazzo (a flute and percussion ensemble).

At the Jazzaldia, as part of the JazzEñe season, she will bring us her latest project, Eléctrica (2023), where colourist harmonies, synthesized sounds, the inheritance of flamenco and rock beats come together in a proposal of honest strains and respectful experimentation.
