Pere Bujosa trio

Pere Bujosa (double bass, composer), Xavi Torres (piano), Joan Terol (drums)

Led by Majorcan double bass player, Pere Bujosa, this trio explores Jazz from an open and contemporary perspective, connecting Mediterranean tradition with sound innovation. Since 2018, they have shared the stage with award-winning pianist Xavi Torres and drummer Joan Terrol, forming a solid and creative group that has a distinct language of its own. Their music combines polyrhythm, improvisation, and subtle electronic overtones, to take us into a richly nuanced sound universe. With some four records under their belts to date – all of them well received by critics - and having performed at festivals such as Jazzaldia, Canarias Jazz and the Cadiz Jazz Festival, the group stand out for their sensitivity on stage and their ability to connect with all types of audiences. In 2025, Bujosa is preparing the launch of two new works, in which works of composers linked to the Balearic Islands – Chopin, Jaume Mas Porcel – will be re-interpreted from a contemporary perspective, free and luminous.

Daniel Román Jazz Quintet: Bruegel sound

Naíma Acuña (drums), César Filiú (tenor saxophone), Román Filiú (alto saxophone), Álvaro del Valle (bass, guitar, electronic instruments), Daniel Román (composer, guitar, vocals)

This project fuses poetry, tradition and avant-garde, making for a unique musical language. Based on Grisaille poems – inspired in Peter Bruegel’s paintings – their music seeks harmonious common ground among contemporary Jazz, electronic music, improvisation and the ancestral sounds of Chilean guitar and the traditional Andean flute, the tarka. The quintet comprises musicians with quite a career behind them: Naíma Acuña, on drums, Román Filiú, alto saxophone, César Filiú, tenor saxophone, Álvaro del Valle, bass, guitar and electronic instruments, and Daniel Román Rodríguez, composer, electric guitar and vocals. Together, they create a sound universe in which words and music are neatly woven together, to offer an immersive experience that defies genres and explores new forms of narration through sound.
