HOFE is the stage name behind the musical project led by singer Igotz Méndez. His career began in 2018 as part of the Nibbass collective, with which he quickly established himself on the Basque underground scene. Since then, he has stood out for his creativity, his ease in moving between and across genres and his capacity to redefine musical boundaries.
HOFE has recorded many songs and collaborated with artists such as Ben Yart, La Elite, BRAVA and Merina Gris. Amodioa (2022) was his first album, released through the Oso Polita label and produced by the duo 4:40 (Xabier Lafuente and Marcos Galech).

That work marked a milestone in his career, already defining a distinctive style that would develop in the following years, blending electronic pop, hyperpop, trap, punk, and the most visceral electronic music.

The EP Amorrua (2023) delved deeper into this fusion of styles, with a more intense emotional focus, consolidating an artistic identity that was unmistakably his. 

In 2024, he gave more than 35 concerts all over the country, taking his powerful live show to festivals and many different cultural venues. He devoted much of 2025 to the production of his upcoming album, set for release in 2026. We have already heard one single from it, ‘R.A.’, an intense and direct track. Hearing it, we eagerly await the arrival of this new album.

HOFE represents a generation that is very much at ease with exploration, and has established himself as one of the most radically singular and promising voices around today. The lyrics of his songs are brilliant - lyrics that often serve as a release for an entire generation, speaking about love, partying, sex, anger, identity, drugs… 

HOFE is all creative freedom, unbridled and absolute; he refuses to be pigeonholed, is in constant evolution, as mischievous as he can be endearing, elegant and cocky, furious and tender, irreverent and poetic, thoughtful and celebratory, chav and cultured, dark and optimistic, confident and vulnerable...
