With a unique sound that defies genres, Yko Project has emerged as one of the coolest, most innovative proposals on the current music scene. The band is led by singer-songwriter Amaya Decaudin, who also founded the group and created the project. What started more than a decade ago as Amaya's personal quest has evolved into a group that embraces cultural and stylistic diversity.
After an initial phase marked by electronic music and ethnic experimentation, Yko Project has now established itself with a deep and enveloping cinematic sound, capable of transporting all who listen to different spheres and emotions, on a musical journey that combines soul, funk, Jazz, trip hop and the roots of Latin, Cuban and Brazilian music.
