Víctor Antón Cuarteto: Nudos (música inevitable)

Víctor Antón (guitar), Daniel Juárez (saxophone), Darío Guibert Montaña (double bass), Rodrigo Ballesteros (drums)

Zamora-born guitarist and composer Víctor Antón will present Nudos - (música inevitable) (2026), a new project in which he delves more deeply into his creative world within contemporary Jazz. Trained at Musikene, now firmly established, with a solid career as performer, teacher and creator behind him, Antón has developed his own musical language in which structured composition and improvisation not only coexist but go hand in hand with a constant search for an open space for communication among musicians.

As leader of his quartet, which comprises Daniel Juárez, José Antonio Miguel and Rodrigo Ballesteros, Antón offers music that emerges from various planes that sustain each other as much as they create tension with one another: that which cannot be said, that which sets the tone, that which bubbles over. It is there, at that meeting point, that the ‘knots’ appear - spaces where fragility and tension coexist and where music presents itself as an act of resistance and dialogue.

At this point of his career, with a discography that features works such as Motion (2016), Changing Gears (2019) or Centennial Light (2022), Antón continues to develop an approach in which music is understood as a way of continuing to search, as a symptom that refuses to yield.l

Daniel Juárez quartet: reflexividad

Daniel Juárez (tenor saxophone), Xan Campos (piano), Darío Guibert (double bass), Rodrigo Ballesteros (drums)

Saxophonist and composer Daniel Juárez will present reflexividad (2025). This, his fifth album, is a deeply introspective work that explores concepts such as beauty, desire, identity and perspective. It invites reflection on universal human experiences, through music.

After initial training at Musikene, Juárez furthered his studies in the Netherlands and New York. He will be accompanied by three musicians who have vast experience on national and international stages. Together they put together a repertoire that views music as a space for interaction, subtlety and the art of listening, where each performance opens up new expressive possibilities.
