Frigo gunea

Jessie Gordon (vocals), Enric Peidro (tenor sax), Fede Mazzanti (piano), Ignasi González (double bass), Xavi Hinojosa (drums)

Not only does Jessie Gordon have a voice that is uniquely hers, and awesome command of stage, she also is a multidisciplinary artist who has been able to create a universe that is also uniquely hers, in which she moves with the utmost ease and assurance, weaving her way through the diverse Jazzistic styles she blends together with enormous naturalness and mastery.

She feeds off influences mainly from the first half of the 20th century: voices of ladies of Jazz like Anota O’Day and Peggy Lee, the aesthetic and ethos of film noir, the boldness and spontaneity of cabaret, the dynamism and dance of Swing, the lyrics, laden with double meaning, of the first Blues-Women…

This Australian singer sparkles brighter and brighter every day on the international stage, and appears destined to become one of the great voices of Jazz. Her exuberance, her elegance, her unmistakeable voice, her great capacity to embrace and revitalise classical influences from a present-day perspective, make her a unique, inimitable singer.
