Drummer, percussionist, composer and producer with roots in Jazz, flamenco and world music, Javi Ruibal, will present his latest quartet project in the realm of Jazz fusion.

Following his debut album Solo un mundo (2019), he released Luz (2022), his second album, a work inspired by the lives of eight women, some real, some imagined. The album is more Jazz-oriented in approach and is built around an instrumental foundation of drums, bass, piano and wind instruments. Other timbres - lute, vibraphone, keyboards, synthesizers and guitars - are also brought on board.

The result is a project that is a confluence of genres and traditions, whose rhythmic richness and timbral diversity are at the service of a dynamic musical discourse in a state of constant evolution.

In Amorodios (2026), pianist Xan Campos blends modern Jazz with Galician tradition, rock, pop and electronic music, developing a unique musical language where there is room for roots music and experimentation.

Originally trained in modern Jazz, Campos has carved out a solid career for himself as a bandleader and collaborator on numerous projects, and is known for his constant exploration of new sonic territories.

Amorodios is an intimate project, full of contrasts and explosive moments charged with energy. The voice of Faia Díaz, rooted in traditional music, and coming from outside of the language of Jazz, is integrated as a key element, bringing a distinctive, direct and deeply organic sound to the ensemble.

Beneath its apparent simplicity, the music is a music of great rhythmic, harmonic and melodic complexity, built upon metres inspired by Galician music and an unusually large percussion section, where traditional instruments are key.
