Born and raised in Paris, Crystal was exposed to music and art from a very early age. Her father is the saxophonist David Murray and her mother works in the world of musical production. As a little girl, she would go with her parents to concerts, to Jazz clubs, and on her father’s tours. She grew up listening to a lot of music and continues to do so.
