Euskal Hot Klub takes its inspiration from the bustling streets of Paris in the 30s where Django Reinhardt turned the Jazz world on its head with his particular Gypsy style. Taking this as its starting point, the group crosses borders and enters the culture of Basque music, adding a new dimension.

Txomin, on the percussion, brings the dynamic approach of Basque rock, while Aritz connects the group with rich tradition through the double bass and, lastly, the guitars of Iñigo and Eric build bridges between different styles, between rock, traditional Basque songs and Django’s music.

A fusion of Gypsy Jazz and Basque tradition, mixing styles and periods and oscillating between modern-day boldness and nostalgia in a marriage of creativity and authenticity.
